There is no city in the world can compete with the explosive development of Dubai. As a result from the rapid growth of wealth from oil in United Arab Emirates, along the Persian Gulf emirate of Dubai, a large amount of money will pour into the building construction, which identical to what Houston practiced few decades ago.

This week, Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat (the international high-rise buildings and urban residential Committee) released a report predicted that by 2020 the height of skyscrapers in the world will once again be refresh. By 2020, the current world’s second highest building – Taipei 101 will fall to No. 20.

Dubai has the ambition to defending the champion. After the completion of the Burj Dubai Tower, Dubai starting the other planning of building another tower up to 3280 feet, the Nakheel Tower. Besides, Saudi Arabia wants to build 3,280 feet of the Kingdom Tower. These two buildings are tentatively scheduled for completion in 2020, provided that the oil continues to flow, as well as the continuous influx of US dollars.

Various parts of the world’s other super-high-rise building has already begun laying the foundation. In Shanghai, the 2073 feet high Shanghai Tower will be the city’s financial district with three towers to form a separation of the situation in the region currently stands third in the world – 1614-foot Shanghai World Financial Center.

In the United States, Chicago and New York cities are competing to build new high-rise buildings. New York’s Freedom Tower, also known as the World Trade Center One, when completed will be 1776 feet high. In Chicago, The Chicago Spire’s foundation has been completed, the building plans for 2000 feet high, which makes Chicago continue to be the home of the highest building in United States.
